As the fall semester draws to a close, AMDA would like to congratulate our soon-to-be graduates entering the professional world! To honor our student’s accomplishments and time at AMDA, we are pleased to announce the keynote speaker, Tony Award-nominated actor Christopher Sieber for AMDA New York’s 2016 Fall Graduation Ceremonies on Saturday, February 4.

This incredible AMDA alumnus was selected for the dedication, passion, and humility implemented in his professional career; such qualities which AMDA aims to instill in every student stepping foot onto our campuses. We look forward to the wisdom and insight he will offer to this semester’s dedicated group of aspiring performers.

Full Bio:

AMDA alumnus and two-time Tony Award nominee Christopher Sieber can currently be seen on Broadway as the silver-tongued attorney Billy Flynn in Chicago. Christopher has starred in more than a dozen Broadway productions including Beauty and the Beast (Gaston), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Trevor Graydon), Into the Woods (Rapunzel’s Prince), Pippin (King Charlemagne), and Matilda the Musical as the curmudgeonly headmistress Agatha Trunchbull.

The Minnesota native began his impressive career at nine years old in his parents’ living room, where he starred in such powerful home productions as Christopher Sieber Comedy Cavalcade of 1976 and MOM! WATCH ME! A Personal Triumph.

In 2005, Christopher received his first Tony Award nomination for his role in the original Broadway cast of Monty Python’s Spamalot. His second Tony nod came four years later, for originating the height-challenged monarch Lord Farquaad in Shrek the Musical (alongside Sutton Foster and Brian D’Arcy James). On television, Christopher’s prolific credits include starring alongside Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen in ABC’s “Two of a Kind” (Kevin Burke), “Sex and the City,” “It’s All Relative,” “Ed,” “Elementary,” “The Good Wife,” “Pushing Daisies,” “Law & Order: SVU,” and numerous soap operas.

Christopher can soon be seen starring in the New York City Center Encores! production of Big River.
