Juan Betancur

Has worked professionally ever since graduating from AMDA in 1994. Performed on Broadway in Jekyll and Hyde. He is currently working on "Guiding Light" and "All My Children" and is performing in Me and Mrs. Jones at the Prince Theatre in Philadelphia. He was recently in West Side Story in Milan at La Scala and was in the European Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. He performed in the national tour of Grease and at the Westchester Broadway Theatre in West Side Story and Dreamgirls, and in Radio City Music Hall's Christmas Spectacular. Additional television credits include "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" on ABC. Juan says, "AMDA's program provides the necessary tools to achieve your goals and dreams."

Darius de Haas

Recently appeared at Lincoln Center in Marie Christine, Dreamgirls, The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds her Chameleon Skin, and at the New York Shakespeare Festival in Saturn Returns. His Broadway credits include Rent, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Fascinating Rhythm and Carousel in the role of Mr. Snow. He was in the national tour of Once on This Island in the role of Daniel. His regional credits include Children of Eden at the Papermill Playhouse. He was directed by Spike Lee in the film Malcolm X and was in the Martin Luther King Suite on NBC. Darius says, "AMDA faculty encouraged me to take chances to really investigate the text of a scene or song. I use that in my work to this day."

Thursday Farrar

Since graduation from AMDA, she has worked in theatre, film, and television. Her Broadway credits include: Aida, Parade, Once Upon a Mattress, and the City Center's Encores!, St. Louis Woman, and Li'l Abner. She received the 1997 Drama Logue Critics Award for Outstanding Performance for the world premiere of Harmony at the La Jolla Playhouse and was in the national tour of Carousel. She has appeared on "All My Children" and "Cosby Mysteries". She says, "My professional career began the day I started classes at AMDA. The program requirements built my confidence in myself as a performer. I was not a dancer, and the rigorous dance program helped me tremendously in some of the work I do today. In two years I accomplished a great deal working with the AMDA faculty and recognize that the training I received was helpful to me to be the performer and artist I am today."

Meredith Patterson

Starring on Broadway in the leading role of Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street, the 2001 Tony Award-winning musical.
Additional Broadway credits include Madison Square Garden's production of A Christmas Carol and The Green Bird. She was nominated for the 1996 Barrymore Award for best supporting actress in Night Club Confidential. Regional credits include Follies and Gypsy at the Papermill Playhouse. She is in the film Company Man with Sigourney Weaver, John Turturro, and Bill Murray. She says, "Working in this business is not easy. AMDA builds a strong foundation for performing. AMDA provides a wonderful program to give you the tools you want, to launch you into the business quickly and efficiently. It's a great school and I loved it."

Natalie Zea

Currently stars as Gwen Hotchkiss on "Passions" (NBC). Her film credits include Macbeth on Manhattan, Creatures of Habit, Kiss and Tell and the acclaimed short Boys Don't Cry. Her Off-Broadway credits include Measure for Measure, The Three Sisters, The Lights, and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
