Our rigorous Studio Program is designed to give talented performers the opportunity for serious study in acting craft and technique – everything you need to play a great character on stage or screen.

At AMDA, we believe an actor must act. Our culture is built around Performance Immersion, and from day one, you will find unrivaled performance opportunities both in and out of the classroom. Over the course of your four semesters, you’ll also enhance and refine your performance technique through an intensive curriculum that focuses on both foundational and advanced acting concepts. Finally, through courses in career preparation and audition techniques, you’ll learn how to navigate the industry and leverage all of your training as a working actor.

When you finish the Studio Program, you also have the option of applying all of your credits toward the AMDA Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Acting.

Acting Audition Requirements:
Two 2-minute contrasting monologues (contemporary or classical). The audition performance should not exceed four minutes in total. Monologues should be from published plays. Original materials should not be used. The use of props during your audition is not permitted.
