International students are a vital part of our culture. Students from around the world come to AMDA each year with a shared passion to excel and a common aspiration to become the foremost artists of their generation. We're sensitive to their needs and help them to make the most of their experience.

What International Students are saying

LesLie Carole Kunz

Home Country: Switzerland

Why did you decide to
attend AMDA?

I wanted to be free to develop myself as an artist and all the opportunities are right here.

When you aren't in class, or rehearsing for class, what are you working on?
I write music and I figure-skate. I need to be creative and I need another environment to relax and get strength again for my daily life as an artist at AMDA.

What advice would you give to a student considering AMDA?
You should be ready: ready to work, ready to learn, ready to be vulnerable.

Kamil Haque

Home Country: Singapore

How has AMDA helped you prepare for your future?
AMDA has a proud tradition of hiring teaching staff who are either currently working actors or are still connected to the industry. When they teach or advise me, I know they are coming from a place of knowledge based on real-life experience.

What's the most valuable thing you've
learned at AMDA so far?

I've learned that all the tools and techniques in the world will not help me have a career unless I'm willing to work for it. Genius is inspiring, but hard work gets results.
