AMDA graduate Phillip Garcia is a proud native of San Jose, California, and grew up in
the east side neighborhood Alum Rock. After graduating from high school, Phillip
pursued his dream of becoming a professional actor by moving to Los Angeles to attend
AMDA, earning both a BFA in Acting and a Conservatory Certificate in Musical Theatre.
Phillip is entertaining audiences across the country with his hilarious portrayal of
Rooster in the new comedy series “Sprung” on Amazon Freevee. Phillip's television
credits include “Mayans M.C.,” “Scandal,” “The Rookie,” “Station 19,” “Animal
Kingdom,” “Criminal Minds,” “CSI: Las Vegas,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “S.W.A.T.,”
“Telenovela” and “Chicago P.D.” Film credits include the Hollywood blockbuster film
Terminator: Dark Fate and Netflix’s hit Korean film OKJA.
Over the past few seasons, Phillip has appeared in four Super Bowl TV spots including
McDonald’s, Anheuser-Busch, and most recently Meta and Salesforce. When he is not busy
in front of the camera or on stage, Phillip can be found spending time with his wife
and daughter in Los Angeles. He is an avid golfer and a huge Bay Area sports fan with
a lot of love for the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, and San Jose Sharks.
Phillip is very proud of his Chicano heritage and looks forward to getting more
involved with his community and culture.
