Ayla Harrison is an educator and a professional playwright for theatre, film and television. Her works include: Swell Season (Los Angeles Theatre Center), Into the Wild Blue (Francis Ford Coppola New Play Festival), My'Gina' (La MaMa), Darkroom (Tennessee Women's Theatre Project) and The Progeny (Orlando Shakespeare Festival). Throughout her professional career, she has worked with numerous theatre and film production companies, including Davis Entertainment, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Geffen Playhouse, the Los Angeles Theatre Center and the Nashville Shakespeare Festival. Ayla is the recipient of the Army Archerd Fellowship in Theatre, Film, Television Writing; Fred J. Thorp Fellowship in Playwriting; and the Marianne Murphy Women and Philanthropy Playwriting Award.
