Richard Israel is a musical director and theatrical coordinator. Richard's directing credits include: Rent (McCoy Rigby Entertainment); Do I Hear A Waltz (Musical Theatre Guild); The Baker's Wife, 110 In The Shade (Actor's Co-op Theatre Company); Home Street Home, Kiss Me Kate (Cabrillo Music Theatre); Glorious! (International City Theatre); Avenue Q (DOMA Theatre Company); Having It All (The Laguna Playhouse); Bronies! The Musical, The Burnt Part Boys, The Full Monty, Falsettos (Third Street Theatre); Gypsy, Assassins, Big, Anita Bryant Died For Your Sins (West Coast Ensemble Theatre); Road Show, High Fidelity,Violet (Musical Theatre Guild). In television, he served as a theatrical coordinator on HBO's Big Little Lies. Richard is the recipient of the Milton Katselas Award for Career Achievement in Direction and the Ovation Award for Best Direction of a Musical for Floyd Collins (La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts).
Richard teaches Ensemble Singing for the Actor, Scene Analysis for Musicians, Roles & Readings, Iconic Music Theatre History, Music Theatre Auditions, Media for the Music Theatre Performer, Spotlight and directs various productions.
