Marianne Maili is a trilingual award-winning author, researcher, artist, actor and singer. She has decades of experience teaching, writing, modeling and acting in the United States, Europe and Asia. Marianne performs with the Interdependent Community Choir of Los Angeles and is the author of Lucy, go see. (Chez Soi Press), winner of the 2019 Eric Hoffer DaVinci Eye.
Living her dreams, she inspires and relates to students' yearnings and wonder as she guides them through the vulnerable process she knows well of giving stories and thoughts freedom to meander on the page before revising and honing–with the deeply personal as ally–the precise mechanics of prose. Her teaching concentrates on the value of structure; the freedom birthed from discipline; the power of patience; the wonder and joy of serious playfulness; the pursuit of excellence; and the intellectual, imaginative, creative and emotional rewards of writing.
