Timothy Koch is a stage director and theatre educator based in New York City. As a director, he works on plays, musicals, opera, new works, and classics. He's a member of Tectonic Theater Project, and directed their 2022 Fall Gala, a Tectonic Cabaret, emceed by Billy Porter. For Tectonic, he's directed developmental readings of new work, as well as worked as the Associate Director on SEVEN DEADLY SINS, which featured seven original short plays performed in empty storefronts in the Meatpacking District in the summer of 2021. Timothy served as the longtime Resident Director of Disney's FROZEN on Broadway. He's directed at the Kraine Theater, Abingdon Theater, Duplex Cabaret, and The Tank. As a guest artist, he's directed and workshopped productions  at NYU Tisch's Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program, Michigan State University, and Case Western Reserve University.  Additional Broadway Associate Directing Credits include HUGHIE, THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN, BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO starring Robin Williams, and PETER AND ALICE in the West End with Judi Dench and Ben Whishaw. He is passionate about collaborative rehearsal processes and classrooms, and clear dynamic choices on stage.
