The Gap Program is offered in both the 8-week and 3-week programs

Course Offerings

  • Improvisation +

    Students master basic improvisational skills that focus on facing performance anxiety, developing creativity, listening on stage, and learning to support their fellow performers

  • Audition Techniques +

    Learn how to be successful in auditions through preparation, presentation, professionalism, and communication through the use and break down of sides and monologues.

  • Movement for the Actor +

    Explore the development of professional attitudes, physical awareness, flexibility, and precision related to movement for the stage. Emphasis is placed on spatial relationships, posture, rhythmic accuracy, energy, and the ability to respond to direction.

  • Character Analysis for the Scripted Text +

    As a compliment to industry-related preparation, students will be challenged to seek roles which best present and position them for future audition opportunities. Emphasis will be placed on the skillful use of advanced acting techniques, such as verbal and physical scoring, moment before, beat analysis, action and reaction, and the integration of private moments.

  • Fundamentals +

    An introduction to the fundamentals of performing through exploration of different styles.

  • Production Experience Series +

    Get acquainted with the expectations of a professional artist within the rehearsal and performance processes. The course includes industry professional guests that will provide further insight into the various aspects of the production experience.

  • Professional Preparation for the Artist +

    Become empowered as an artist through abundant resources for entering the professional entertainment workforce. Be well-versed in financial planning, networking, and creating an effective resume & headshot.

  • Artist’s Daily Practice +

    Work on building your own personal confidence and skills in order to help you communicate well with other professionals in the industry and succeed in necessary business ventures in the performing arts.

  • Stage Dance & Movement +

    Students explore the development of professional attitudes, physical awareness, flexibility and precision related to choreography for the stage. Spatial relationships, posture, rhythmic accuracy, energy and the ability to respond to direction are emphasized.

  • Production Experience Series +

    Students will become acquainted with the expectations of a professional artist within the rehearsal and performance processes. The course will include industry professional guests that will provide further insight into the various aspects of the production experience.

  • Intro to Playwriting +

    This class explores the basics of crafting engaging plays, covering essential elements like dramatic structure, character development, and dialogue.
