Aaria (Aria Charaman) ’17 released her new single “My Way” featuring Yfn Lucci. Aaria is a rising R&B singer, who made her nationwide debut with the release of her first single and official music video “Thug Love” last summer.

TV / FILM

Natalie Hall ’07:
Discusses starring in Fit for a Prince, premiering as part of Hallmark Channel’s “Spring Fling” programming on March 6 at 9 PM EST. Encore showings will air throughout March. Natalie starred in the 2020 holiday releases Midnight at the Magnolia on Netflix and A Very Charming Christmas Town on Lifetime.

Madeline Brewer ’12:
Returns as “Janine Lindo” for Season 4 of The Handmaid’s Tale. Watch the teaser for season 4, premiering on Hulu on April 28. Madeline also stars in the horror film Separation, coming to theatres April 23.

Tyne Daly ‘69:
Guest starred on an episode of Mom, which aired on CBS on February 25. Tyne stars in The Enforcer from 1976, now available on HBOMax. Tyne is also in the documentary Carol Channing: Larger Than Life, for rent on Amazon Prime and YouTube. 

Sam Underwood ‘07:
Stars as “Adam Carrington” in Season 4 of Dynasty, premiering on the CW on May 7. Dynasty has also been renewed for season 5. Sam performed in "Oscar & Walt" in the New Works Virtual Festival last October. 

Frankie A. Rodriguez ’14:
Returns as “Carlos” in Season 2 of High School Musical – The Musical: The Series premiering on Disney+ on May 14. Frankie also starred in last year’s High School Musical – The Musical: The Christmas Special.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson ’95:
Has been speaking about his cookbook coming out March 9 with publications, podcasts, and virtual events. This week, Jesse was a guest on Ask Me Another and Homemade Podcast. Jesse will do a cookalong during Jesse Tyler Ferguson & Julie Tanous Cookbook Release Party on March 6. 

Matthew Sims Jr. ’12:
Arranged a new version of “We Shall Overcome,” performed by the House OV Mahogany. Matthew performed as “Uganda” in The Book of Mormon national tour.

Christopher Jackson ’94:
Performed and reflected on playing “George Washington” in Hamilton during George Washington University’s Bicentennial Talk. Christopher premiered Hamilton’s social media series #WeTellTheirStories with a powerful reading of Benjamin Banneker’s letter to Thomas Jefferson, highlighting Jefferson’s hypocrisy between owning slaves and believing in the Declaration of Independence. 

J. Harrison Ghee ’09 and Krystal Joy Brown ’04:
Performed at the Broadway Sessions concert celebrating Black History Month on February 28. J. Harrison and Taylor Symone Jackson ’13 are among featured Broadway stars to pose as astrology signs for Broadway Zodiac Trading Cards. Fifty percent of the proceeds from the trading cards benefit the Actors Fund.

MUSIC / CONCERT

Haley Ganis ’12:
Released her new single “The Crowd” to all streaming services and was featured in Music Mecca. Haley is currently based in Nashville and has been releasing original music since 2017.

Sarah Stiles ’00:
Sang the National Anthem to kick off the NASCAR race on February 28. Sarah spoke about starring as “Beth Paige” in The Crew on an Instagram Live with Nascar on February 23. 

PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Anie (Stephanie) Delgado ’14:

Was featured in Symphonic Blog’s Spotlight section, highlighting her music career thus far. Anie released her new song “Dance While the World is On Fire,” which Billboard featured in their 10 Cool New Pop Songs to Get You Through the Week list. 

Anthony Ramos ‘11:
Featured in Calvin Klein’s “Blank Canvas” 2021 Campaign. Anthony was selected as an emerging artist for Time Magazine’s 2021 Time100 Next list

Jason Derulo ’06:
Signed with Atlantic Records. Jason and Jawsh 685’s hit “Savage Love” is featured on the final playlist in the “My Black Is” series which celebrated Black History Month. 

Zhailon Levingston ’15:
Promoted to Broadway Advocacy Coalition’s new director of industry. Zhailon directed a live virtual reading of Chicken and Biscuits starring Ebony Marshall-Oliver ’05 as “Beverly” which benefitted The Next Wave Initiative. 

Ally (Alexis) Mulholland ’12:
Program and lead director of Class Act Community Playhouse. Ally recently took part in the theatre’s benefit event Tonight Belongs to You on February 27.

Andrea Hernandez Mieres ’17:
Teaches a new “Comedy 4 Kids” course with New York Improv Theatre. Andrea has been part of EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH Improv since early 2019.
