HOLLYWOOD, starring AMDA alumnus Jeremy Pope '12 is now streaming on Netflix.
Darius de Haas '91: Featured in Playbill.com's new series Checking in With… that interviews Broadway favorites during the coronavirus pandemic. Checking in With… Obie Award Winner Darius de Haas, Star of Rent, Carousel, Running Man is available here. Darius was recently featured alongside Anna Marie Ray ’14 on Stephen Mosher’s Pandemic Playlist Number Eighteen, celebrating cabaret performers to look out for. He can also be heard as the voice of "Shy Baldwin" on Amazon's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Anthony Ramos ’11 and Asia Kate Dillon ’03: Will share their stories on Drama Club’s new social media campaign #WhatTheaterMeansToMe to raise awareness about the impact theater can make in young lives. The campaign runs from May 5 to June 8 and will drive donations to support the nonprofit’s arts programming and mentorship for incarcerated youth within Crossroads Juvenile Facility, Horizon Juvenile Facility, and Rikers Island, as well as in communities disproportionately impacted by mass incarceration. Last weekend, Anthony was featured on In Conversation with The Raconteurs, Leslie Odom Jr. and Anthony Ramos as part of the TIDAL At Home livestream series onTIDAL.com/AtHome. Asia stars in Showtime’s Billions, now in their fifth season.
Brittney Mack ‘10: Was a guest on Stars In The House alongside her costars from the Broadway musical SIX. Brittney stars as “Anna of Cleaves” in the production and previously performed in both the Chicago and Boston pre-Broadway productions.
Christopher Jackson ‘94: Teases his involvement of the in-the-works Netflix adaptation tick, tick...BOOM! and the feature film version of In the Heights (now set to premiere on June 18, 2021) starring Anthony Ramos ’11. Christopher virtually performed “Tomorrow” with Jesse Tyler Ferguson ’95 available here.
Stephanie Rons ’16: Stars as “Vanessa” in The Sound of the Wind alongside Christian Gnecco Quintero ’16. Stephanie is represented by ATN Entertainment and AEFH Talent. Stephanie and also played “Janine” in the short film Academic Super Squad, which premiered at the 2019 Outfest LGBTQ+ Film Festival and is currently on the festival circuit.
Chris Sieber ’89: Stars as “Count Dracula” in the new radio play, Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors. The series will be released in four installments starting May 1 on Broadway Podcast Network and proceeds will benefit The Actors Fund and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Chris recently joined Brittany Conigatti ’10, Vasthy Mompoint '99 and fellow Broadway company members of The Prom, encouraging teens missing their proms to send videos of them celebrating from home to create a worldwide prom for #BuildAVirtualProm.
Melissa Marie Brown ’13: Co-founded MorningBLISS Records where she works as VP and head of social media and content production, and maintains the position of CEO at AntiKs Entertainment. Melissa’s recently played “Kat” in Constructing Sin, which was nominated for Best Comedy and Best Mockumentary at the Vegas Cinefest International Film Festival. Her albums ECLECTIC and AWARE will be released in 2020 and 2021, and original singles are currently available on streaming platforms.
Christopher Ryan Quiroz ’04: Taught an online masterclass Monologues: Selection, Analysis, and Authenticity geared for teenagers with The Public Theater of San Antonio. Christopher is a member of Actors' Equity Association.

The Lucille Lortel Awards will be presented virtually on May 3 on LortelAwards.org. Jeremy Pope ’12 will be featured on the broadcast. Nominated productions featuring AMDA alumni include: Soft Power (Jon Hoche ‘99 and Geena Quintos ’12), The Secret Life of Bees (Anastacia McCleskey ’03), Little Shop of Horrors (Joy Woods ’19) and The Unsinkable Molly Brown (CoCo Smith ’15).
The Off-Broadway Alliance Awards will stream live on Facebook at 11 AM ET on May 19. Nominated productions featuring AMDA alumni include: The Secret Life of Bees (Anastacia McCleskey ’03), Little Shop of Horrors (Joy Woods ’19), The Unsinkable Molly Brown (CoCo Smith ’15), Ain’t No Mo’ (Ebony Marshall-Oliver ‘05), Much Ado About Nothing (Jamar Brathwaite ‘15), Baby (Sy Chounchaisit‘15) and Rock of Ages (Tiffany Engen ‘06).
The 65th Annual Drama Desk Awards will be held on NY1’s On Stage on May 31 at 7:30 PM ET. The ceremony will also stream onNY1.com and DramaDeskAwards.com.
