African American Biographies
During Black History Month, we invite you to explore some of the African American biographies in the library. You can read about the lives of singers and actors ranging from Billie Holiday and Paul Robeson to Harry Belafonte, Sidney Poitier, and Diana Ross. There are books about dancers and choreographers such as Josephine Baker, Alvin Ailey, and Misty Copeland. You can learn from writers such as Eldridge Cleaver and Suzan-Lori Parks. They all lived fascinating lives.
