L.A. Theatre Works records major actors in important stage plays and makes the performances available on audio CDs. LATW aims “to give voice to underrepresented groups, bring attention to new plays and playwrights, and produce plays that address critical historical, cultural and social issues.” Over the past 40 years, LATW has recorded over 500 plays, all of which are available in the library. We recently received the 2017 productions, which include Amadeus by Peter Shaffer, Jefferson’s Garden by Timberlake Wertenbaker, Together Tonight: Hamilton, Jefferson, Burr by Norman Corwin, Act One by James Lapine from the Autobiography by Moss Hart, The Assembled Parties by Richard Greenberg, The Tug of War by David Rambo, and Seven by Paula Cizmar and others.
