the call of the stage, your name in lights – the rich tradition of musical theatre has always provided a powerful draw for multi-talented performers. If you have the talent and ambition, AMDA can give you the skills to realize your dreams.

AMDA offers two Music Theatre Program options:

Degree Program

This program integrates artistic training in acting, musicianship and dance, providing you with a comprehensive education designed to support a professional stage career. The program offers ample performance opportunities, from your first semester through graduation.
 
Enroll as a BFA freshman at the Los Angeles campus and complete the entire program in LA. Want a Manhattan experience? BFA students have the option of spending one semester at the New York campus.

Conservatory Program

This program trains you for a performing career on stage and screen, helping you to achieve proficiency in acting and musical theatre.

In the first year, you’ll focus on developing technique with a special emphasis on individual work. In the second year, you’ll apply these acquired techniques as you develop performance and audition pieces.

Throughout this intensive program, you'll also learn how to navigate the industry and take charge of your own career.
