Kenneth Merckx is a stage combat instructor and fight choreographer who has worked in film, television, theatre and higher education institutions across the country. He is the resident fight choreographer for the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, A Noise Within Theater and the Great Lakes Theater Company. He has staged scenes of violence for the world premieres of Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure (Pasadena Playhouse), Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (San Jose Repertory Theatre), The Suicide Club (Arizona Theatre Company), Cloudlands (South Coast Repertory Theatre Company), Somebody/Nobody (Arizona Theatre Company) and the theatrical adaptation of The Kite Runner (San Jose Repertory Theatre). He is the recipient of the Ovation Award for his fight choreography in Cymbeline (A Noise Within Theater).
