AMDA Faculty since: 2011
Originally from Queretaro Mexico, America started her dance training at a young age with the Royal Academy of Dance. Later, she trained in Vaganova and Cuban Methodology.
She is a New York based actress, singer, educator and choreographer. Her credits include the role of 'Pepe' in Too Many Girls,
'Delee' in Smokey Joe's Cafe, Hairspray, Kiss Me Kate, Porgy & Bess
(International tour), Bizet's Opera Carmen, among others. She toured throughout
South America as a member of "Mexico Folklorico". For "Backbeard the Musical"
for NYMF 2017 she was the Associate Choreographer.
She holds a BFA from
Queretaro State University in Vocal Performance, a Professional Certificate in
Dance Education from the Royal Academy of Dance, and is an AMDA graduate.
America has over 10 years of experience teaching in Mexico and the USA and travels as a Ballet Guest teacher around the country.
