Brian Sweeney is a pianist, composer, arranger and musical director. Recent directing credits include "Thirteen," "Heathers," "Company," and "She Loves Me," as well as upcoming productions of "Tommy" and "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee". He has served as the musical director of youth theatre programs at Stagelight Entertainment and USDAN Summer Camp for the Arts, and is currently a show director for the School of Rock performance program. Brian is the composer of "Day and Age," an original full-length musical featured as part of the 2017 NY Winterfest. He also performs with Broadway Underground, a recently-launched concert series dedicated to showcasing original and lesser-known musical theatre repertoire. Prior to joining the faculty at AMDA, Brian worked for over five years as a pianist and director of various student organizations at the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY.
