Joe has created hundreds of fights, stunts and action sequences for stage and screen. Broadway: Bronx Bombers; Off-Broadway: The View Upstairs, Counting Sheep, While I Yet Live, Essential Self – Defense, Dead Man's Cell Phone, Blue Door; Regional: Fulton Theatre, Capital Repertory Theatre, Maine State Music Theatre, New Repertory Theatre, Virginia Shakespeare Company; Film: The Depths, Lifted, A-Alike (stunt coordinator); Tower of Silence (stunt coordinator/sword master). Joe holds the rank of Certified Fight Director and Certified Teacher with both the Society of American Fight Directors and Fight Directors Canada. He is a regular contributor to the SAFD journal The Fight Master through his column, Fight Matters. Joe's career as a teacher of stage contact includes instructing students at Colgate University, Lee Strasberg Institute, SUNY Rockland, SUNY Albany, Columbia University and at National and Regional workshops throughout the U.S. and Canada. Since 1995 he has been the managing director of Swordplay, a NYC based company that provides instruction in safe and effective stage combat. www.jt4fights.com
