Mélissa Guérin-Torres is a French professional dancer and choreographer. She started her dance career as a ballerina touring Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty in Europe. For seven years, Mélissa has been a professional performer for two companies in Belgium, Troubleyn/Jan Fabre and NeedCompany. She learned how to unite performance, theater and dance while performing in pieces that were 4, 8 and 24 hours long. She performed for the National Performing Art Center in Taiwan, Impuls Tanz Festival in Austria, the Festival of Art of Buenos Aires in Argentina, Roma Europa Festival in Italy and other locations.
In collaboration with choreographers and visual artists, she extended her field by dancing in galleries, on streets and museums such as the Shanghai Ming Contemporary Art Museum in China and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
Through her career, she performed ballet, contemporary dance, stage fighting, fencing and acting.
