Elan is an author and teacher. His second novel, Escape Route, will be published by Running Wild Press in May 2022. His work has appeared in Drunk Monkeys, Rough Cut Press, Boston Accent, Jewish Fiction, HuffPost, the New York Journal of Books, Public Radio and elsewhere. Elan has been a presenter at the Boston Book Festival, a writer-in-residence at Wildacres and a Wolff Cottage Writer-In-Residence at Fairhope Center for the Writing Arts. Additionally, Elan has worked with at-risk youth, led community-based writing workshops and was the fiction editor at Forth Magazine LA.
