PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Kenita Miller-Hicks ’00:
Won an Antonyo Award in the Best Featured Actor in a Musical (Broadway) category for her role in for colored girls… Kenita and Jarvis B. Manning Jr. ’06 recently starred in Songbook Sundays’ concert Bewitched, Bothered and Rodgers and Hart at Lincoln Center's Dizzy's.

Abena '13:
Won an Antonyo Award in the Best Featured Actor in a Play (Off-Broadway) category for her role in Merry Wives at The Public Theater. Abena recently performed in the world premiere of Goddess at Berkeley Rep.

TV/FILM

J. Harrison Ghee ’09:
Stars in a recent episode of the anthology series, Accused. J. Harrison spoke with BroadwayWorld about making the episode, and discussed their career in a new cover story with Metro Weekly. J. Harrison also performed Some Like It Hot’s “Let's Be Bad” on The View. J. Harrison stars in Some Like It Hot on Broadway alongside Ensemble member Jarvis B. Manning Jr. ’06.

Didi Romero ‘18:
Stars as the title character in the Disney+ Spanish series Gina Yei, which premiered in January and is now streaming. Didi stars as as “Katherine Howard” in the SIX National Tour. 

BROADWAY

Josh Drake ’11:
Performances are underway for Bad Cinderella on Broadway Meet Josh and the rest of the cast here, and take a first look at the production.

OFF-BROADWAY

Charity Angel Dawson ’05:
Has joined the cast of New York City Center’s upcoming production of Oliver! Performances will run from May 3 - 14. Charity and Anastacia McCleskey ’03 currently star in Hercules The Musical at Paper Mill Playhouse through March 19.

REGIONAL THEATRE

Schele Williams ’91:
Will direct the Broadway-bound production of The Wiz. The production announced a pre-Broadway L.A. Premiere Engagement at the Hollywood Pantages from February 13 - March 3, 2024.

Vanessa Triplett ’21 and Ethan Gonzales ’22:
Have joined the cast of Sister Act, with Vanessa as an Ensemble member and “Sister Mary Patrick” understudy and Ethan as an Ensemble member and “Pablo” understudy. Performances run at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre in Lancaster, PA from February 24 - April 1, before heading to Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre in Fort Myers, FL from April 14 - May 20.

Frankie A. Rodriguez ’14:
Take a first look of Frankie starring in Calvin Berger: A Musical. Performances run at The Colony Theatre in Burbank, CA through March 26.

Sky Lakota-Lynch ‘12:
Stars as "Johnny" in the world premiere musical adaptation of The Outsiders, running through April 2 at the La Jolla Playhouse. Sky recently performed in the reading of Lemony Snicket’s Something Dreadful is Going to Happen and guest starred on NBC's New Amsterdam.

CRUISE

Shannon Hanbury ’14:
Has returned as a Mainstage Performer aboard Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream. Shannon wrote and published her first book Grandpa's Friend Mr. All, raising positive conversations and awareness around Alzheimer’s disease.

MUSIC / CONCERT

Brittney Mack ’10 and Kyle Scatliffe ’09:
Set to perform in this year’s "Broadway Backwards" benefit concert. The concert will take place at Broadway’s New Amsterdam Theatre on March 13.

Darius de Haas '91:
Will perform in the DREAMGIRLS Concert at Café Carlyle on February 22. Darius and Schele Williams ’91 are founding members of Black Theatre United, which will be honored at Roundabout Theatre Company's 2023 Gala on March 6 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City.

Christopher Sieber ’89:
Will perform in Broadway Says Thank You, David Mixner, a variety show benefiting the Ali Forney Center on March 6. Christopher and Jesse Tyler Ferguson ’95 are also featured in an article celebrating 45 years of On the Twentieth Century for their involvement in the staged concert version of the production benefitting the Actors Fund in 2005.
