UPDATE FOR AMDA’S INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

We know the past few months have been an especially stressful time for you as international students and we want you to know that we care so deeply and are standing by ready to assist and support you.

The most important thing for you to know regarding the information issued by the U.S. Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) 2 days ago is that the information which appears to be a restriction on taking fully online course loads applies to Fall Semesters. For AMDA, this means that it would apply to our November 2, 2020 start date, which we expect to begin in-person. It does not apply to AMDA’s Summer Semester which begins on July 20.

So please know that even in the event that the entire Summer Semester (which starts on July 20) has to be fully online for public health reasons, this new information from SEVP does not apply to the Summer Semester. You will be able to remain in the country, on your current Visa, for the entire Summer Semester. We are, of course, hopeful that we will be back together in-person in September for the rest of the Summer Semester.
