Audition

Immerse yourself in the AMDA experience. AMDA's Audition is an exclusive opportunity for high school students (grades 9, 10, 11 & 12) and post high school students, to work directly with one of AMDA's distinguished faculty, staff members or industry-working alumni.

This exciting event incorporates a private, socially distanced and safe audition opportunity for entry to AMDA's college level BFA and AOS or Certificate programs.

All AMDA applicants are encouraged attend a virtual audition workshop and information session the week prior to the day of auditions; all skill levels and performing arts disciplines are welcome. Workshop participants will be lead through exercises and techniques designed to empower emerging performers with the confidence needed for a successful AMDA audition. Parents and families are invited to observe the workshop and ask audition-related questions during the virtual information session.

During the week before your audition, our AMDA team will contact you to conduct an audition overview on what to expect during the audition day process. Our staff will provide an in-depth overview of life at AMDA; including detailed information about our programs, campuses, performance opportunities and financial aid support. Auditions will be held on either a Saturday or a Sunday, and you will have a specific call time. This call time is very important, and you should make arrangements to ensure that you arrive on time. To ensure your safety and the safety of others, students must wait in their cars or in a safe space near the event venue, as each auditioning student will be allowed into the event space/audition space only one student at a time. At your call time on audition day, you will be contacted by AMDA staff with a call, email, and/or text message to alert you as to exactly when you may enter the audition venue and/or hotel, and begin your audition. All applicants will receive individual feedback from their adjudicator with suggestions for continued growth and development. Once your audition is complete, you will be free to leave and another AMDA team member will be in contact with you to complete an easy interview, and to answer any additional questions you may have.

Take advantage of this incredible opportunity. We look forward to meeting you!
